Frequently asked questions
What we are asked most often
Do I need a VAT number to open an account?
In most cases, yes. Municipalities, schools and public bodies can give their national identifier instead. Private customers continue to order normally on partyshop.lu.
I am established outside Luxembourg — does VAT apply?
If your intra-EU VAT number is valid, your invoice is issued excluding tax and VAT is reverse-charged in your country. In Luxembourg, the 17 % VAT remains due.
Can discount codes be combined with the site's promotions?
No. The business code applies on its own, to the basket excluding seasonal promotions. You automatically get whichever is the better deal for you.
Does the discount apply to the whole catalogue?
It applies to party goods sold in store and online. Equipment rental, entertainment, artist services, helium inflation and bespoke creations are excluded: these are priced separately and quoted individually.
Can I get a quotation before ordering?
Yes, and it is often the most practical route for an internal purchase order. Build your basket, choose "Request a quotation" and you receive a PDF within 24 h, signable and payable online.
What if I need 300 pieces of the same item?
Write to us before ordering. We check availability with our suppliers, confirm a lead time and can often offer a better price than the grid.
